Discover Your Radiant Energy

Sensitivity Focused Yoga & Nutrition for Body Mind and Spirit

How do we increase our energy and resilience?
How do we recharge from overwhelm and stress?
How do we replenish our bodies, minds, and spirits?

Making small moves each day shifts our relationships, our self-love, and our overall health and well being in positive ways.

Sensitive nervous systems are unique. When we learn to nurture ourselves with compassion and patience we transform our bodies, minds, and spirits. Each of us is a vessel of radiant energy waiting to be freed!

Sensitivity Rising is here to guide you and help you to develop your own personal daily practice, or Sadhana (Sanskrit: साधन). Sadhana is a daily spiritual practice where we set aside some time each day to develop our self-awareness, self-discipline, and spiritual growth.

The Practices

Building a consistent wellness practice is easier than you think!

Mindful Movement

Increasing our flexibility and stability through accessible and restorative practices helps to expand our resiliency and stimulate our parasympathetic nervous system response. These practices also improve digestion and help to decrease physical pain and stress.

Simple Nutrition

Learning to listen to what our bodies need vs. what they want is an essential component of our overall health. The what, how, and when of eating is important, but it doesn’t need to be complicated. Learn to quiet your mind and listen to and trust your body.

Cultivate Energy

Kundalini Yoga is often called the Yoga of Awareness. The practices shift our energy and emotions efficiently while helping us create a deeper connection to our true self. Kundalini Yoga is highly accessible using simple poses, breathwork, meditation, mudras, and mantras.

As a Highly Sensitive Person I understand the frustration in searching for practices to nurture sensitivity.

Sensitivity Rising is built on svayamagurutva (Sanskrit: स्वयमगुरुत्व):
the state of lightness existing in one’s self.

We are inundated with statistics and studies that are meant to tell us who we are, how we should feel, and what we need to do to feel healthy and fulfilled. A seismic shift takes place when we discover that we have a choice to decide for ourselves.

We can choose to believe the same stories, the same limiting beliefs, the same false information we collect and carry about who we really are, or we can choose a path of transformation. When we begin to look inside instead of outside for answers we find true wisdom. This is when we discover svayamagurutva, the state of lightness that exists only within.

Philosophy

High Sensitivity is not a condition that needs to be cured. It is believed to have genetic roots and childhood is thought to play a role in how our sensitivity develops and shapes us into adulthood. The most important aspect of wellness is taking responsibility for your own life and your personal journey. No one can live your life for you or ultimately tell you how to live or what choices are best for you. You are in charge of your own thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Perspective

When we are in the mindset of shutting down our emotions and sensitivity it is often because of a story someone told us along the way, about who we are and who we are supposed to be. Each practice is approached from a trauma informed perspective. Our life experiences have a lasting impact on our entire mind-body system and where you are on your journey is not to be scrutinized or judged by anyone.

Purpose

Wellness is about getting to know our minds and bodies so we can listen to what we truly need. It’s about learning to tune out the noise and setting clear intentions so we can move through discomfort to find the healthiest version of ourselves. This is a safe and supportive space to help you discover and cultivate the radiant energy that is already within you. To help you move forward on your journey in the way that is healthiest for you.

“Yoga is not a religion. It is a science, science of well-being, science of youthfulness, science of integrating body, mind and soul.”

How to Stop Apologizing for Our Sensitivity

Many of us can suffer from a lack of confidence and self-esteem because we’re taught that our sensitivity is wrong, that we’re being difficult and unreasonable and that our sensitivity is causing problems for others, so we fall into the habit of apologizing for things when it’s completely unnecessary.

6 Ways to Make Decisions Easier

Our decisions can become more rushed, more unsteady and we can begin to shut down altogether rather than make one more choice when we’re under stress and pressure.

How Sensitive People Can Feel Seen

The judgements we pass on ourselves are usually based on someone else’s opinions of who they think we should be, their opinions about how we should think, feel look behave, and much of that judgment is not based on who we truly are.
